ENCOUNTERS WITH TODAY AND YESTERDAY PEOPLE  AND THE PREACHER’S RESOLUTION THEREOF

I met a lady yesterday at a speaking engagement, who couldn’t be encouraged and  inspired by the consistent  VICTORIES of my present Life and GLOWINGLY GLORIOUS future in CHRIST JESUS, but angry with me for the impact of my CHILDHOOD abuses on me, saying my CHILDHOOD abuses had no impact on my CHILDHOOD and early ADULTHOOD misbehaviors and malfunctioning and trying to rally believers around her belief…

I guess, it was a failed attempt as my story of ABUSED CHILDHOOD and TRANSFORMED ADULTHOOD was received with LOUD and STANDING OVATION…
I was not shocked… Few years ago I met a lady, who after listening to my story of ABUSED CHILDHOOD but TRANSFORMED ADULTHOOD in CHRIST JESUS, decided to take a permanent seat in my past life and would not move with me into my present glorious REALITY of VICTORIOUS LIVING…
It was question and answer time and she had only one questions to ask: with this your life story, how on earth  did your wife agree to marry a man like you? My response was simple, ‘thank God you were not my wife…She didn’t leave herself in discouraging part of my STORY, she sees like God sees, she was INSPIRED by the CHANGE, which God has achieved in my life when we met and the evident promises of a much-more  glorious future…’
I think my wife is right…My greatest tool today is my story of the victory that Christ can wrought in a rotten life He arrested by HIMSELF…
You see, Africa is a place where the culture of silence is celebrated and the stories of past and present struggles are considered an abomination… Thus may of our compatriots struggle and die in silence…We believe in cosmetic lifestyle and in some instances it is dangerous to be real…Life must be picture perfect, an El Dorado, where ALICE lives and dies in WONDERLAND…Who this kin deception help?
It is in this society that parents will not report cases of Child Sexual Abuse because, they reckoned that their girl child will not find a husband in the future…We are so much concerned about a future the child has been effectively robbed of by virtue of the nasty experience of Child Sexual Abuse that we sacrifice her today physical and psychological pains for same…I wonder the thinking of those who destroy the TODAY of the CHILD to save her TOMORROW …And yet, you cannot blame them, it is a function of their socialization….
It is the same culture that makes spouses, particularly women to endure Domestic Violence until death did them apart…
I think as long as I live and as I appropriate the GRACE of GOD, who does not make me a JUDGE but a GOSPELLER, I make a solemn commitment to proclaim the denied but potent TRUTH that the greatest problems of the AFRICAN continent remains our collective THINKING as a people, which must be CHALLENGED by all PEACEFUL and LOVING means possible…
And I have come to accept as an IRRESISTIBLE and IRREFUTABLE truth, clear to my conscience, under God that my most invaluable and effective tool of remaining true to the foregoing assignment and achieving enduring impact is my seemingly impossible story of ABUSED CHILDHOOD but TRANSFORMED ADULTHOOD in CHRIST JESUS, which began with Jesus coming into my life to begin to change my THINKING, my MINDSET(an ongoing and a lifetime exercise (Romans 12: 1-2)
In this divine posting, I may meet more YESTERDAY people, who will not see me beyond my past and the mountain of errors therein and TODAY people, who will love me so much and will encourage me to be satisfied with where I am today and close the chapter of telling my story because of the embarrassments they think same brings to the family, who spent their sweat and blood to raise me. I know also I will meet only few TOMORROW people, who will stand by me to tell my story in obedience to God and as an INVALUABLE BLESSING to His HUMANITY for whom He gave His SON, Jesus Christ.
The conclusion today is that in changing the THINKING settings of Africans, there must be Guinea Pigs and I guess I am an UNREPENTANT ONE under GOD.
Do have an INSPIRED week people and I remain sober on my knees, The Preacher.

To My UNBORN But AWAITED Child: What World AWAITS You? A World Where Children Are Not SAFE? A World of #6IGBONLABOYS?

I guess for 11 (eleven) you have been trapped in my loins, at least if I begin to count from the day I took the wife of my youth, Oluwafunmilayo as a wife…

When you come, you shall be to me and your mother the child of our old age, yet our first, as I now approach 50 years of age and I do not consider your mother a young woman by any standard…At least not as young as when I took her as a wife eleven (11) years ago till death do us part. I think I have started living in the second half of life…
Quite a lot of physical, spiritual and medical efforts have been put into your invitation to this realm…Yet, it seems you are taking your time with the Maker…
I have however never been troubled that you are taking your time, neither is your mother… We have chosen by the grace of God,  who strengthens us not to lose any iota of sleep about what seems to be your late arrival according to human permutation or judgement…As far as I am concerned your arrival is in the hand of God and there is nothing human worries and sleepnessness can do to accelerate same.  That is why I christened you ODINAKACHUKWU few years ago…
We have also realised that whatever sleep we choose to lose now will be a waste of life…And life, once wasted,  would it be restored? I think not…And why must we lose life for what we have no control over… Over our sanity, we have control today under God and this is one control we do not intend to lose… I am sure it is a control you will be proud we maintain when you finally arrive here…
It has become necessary to write to you today as I know that one day you will read this whether I am here or gone to where you are expected from… I know missing each other on the way is also a possibility…Therefore, I better leave a message for you…
I intend to do this as a series, sharing with you what I believe I need you to know to make your life easier than mine…
My Dear Odinakachukwu, I do not know your gender and it does not any matter to me… I know gender only speaks of difference and neither superiority nor inferiority, as some backward societies will have us believe…
I wrap up this introduction to our discussion with mixed feelings…I am disturbed in my spirit,  soul and body the kind of world we are working with all arduous tenacity to bring you into… I sometimes feel and ask myself if we should even bother you,  considering the labyrinthe rubbles of disorder our world is burried in today…Like Jesus Christ said in Gethesemane and as a man who woman, whose life is surrendered to the Father would say in the midst of Hard Moral Choices, I often find myself saying in total submission, ‘Your will,  not my will…’
Hard Moral Choices? Yes Odinakachukwu…What is Hard Moral Choices? Odinaka, they are choices,  which benefits only outweighs its woes in the potential…Such choices are only identified by the initiated,  who have developed a sight above s/he nose…Such choices are made with all the caution in the person making it…
So my dear Odinaka, I consider bringing Children to this world today as a critical part of my Hard Moral Choices Theory… Why? It has been my most considered,  but troubling opinion as a Total Child Development Expert of over 20(twenty) years that the real joy of having children is not merely bringing them to this world, it is how they are raised or the values with which they are raised…
Anyway,  I will be back to this discussion soon but let me share a bit of current affairs with you butressing the unthinkable disorder I point out earlier…
It has been 43 days since six(6) school children were kidnapped from Model School, Igbonla,  Epe, Lagos and yet they have not been found… In fact there is deafening and betraying silence on the part of those whose constitutional responsibility it is to secure the lives and property of citizens…
As it is today,  these innocent ones,  whose parents send on a mission to receive education but today in the captivity of kidnappers…
I am also informed that it was the second visit of the kidnappers to the school…It has also been gathered now that as the kidnappers wrote a letter to Igbonla,  heralding their operations, another school has received such letter…
It my pain today, my dear Odinaka that we live in a nation, which has lost total respect for the dignity of human person and life and her invaluable world…
Though,  you are not yet here,  I do not pray to be in the shoes of the parents of The Igbonla 6 as we have come to know them…
Again, my dear ODINAKACHUKWU, if I ask you, where would you prefer, where you are right now, where your Angels behold the face of the Father in immeasurable peace or here where things are tumbling down in cacaphonous torrents…
Is this invitation being extended to you even about you or about us? Here I surrender my conscience for a thorough search by his All-seeing Maker…
Good morning Odinaka, I will be back sooner than you think… Do have an INSPIRED day with the FATHER.

AS SCHOOLS REOPEN: LOOK AT ME  STRAIGHT IN THE EYES AND TELL ME WE HAVE SECURED THE PROTECTION OF OUR PRECIOUS CHILDREN.

Enough of leaving the protection of our precious children to CHANCE…As schools resume, have you asked if your chidren’s school have a Child Protection Policy on which every member of Staff is trained or should I ask you, does your children’s school have a Child Protection Policy?

Protection of our children in schools are only guaranteed by the existence of a Child Protection System, codified into a policy on which every single member of staff is trained, challenging their Dominant Value System to align with THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD.
The protection of the most precious entity in our lives, our children must not be left to CHANCE….
If we cannot answer my question in the affirmative, then we may not be able to say in clear terms that our precious children are safe under the custody of the secondary caregivers we have registered them with as schools…
The question to ask as schools resume is not to ask if our precious children are safe in schools…The real question to ask is what professional and globally-tested measure our children’s school deliberately put in place to ensure the protection of our precious children…
The standard is higher in Lagos State where by the Executive Order of the Lagos State government of 2016, it is now MANDATORY for all Child Focused Organizations in Lagos State to adopt a child protection policy and train all members of staff on same….By the way, The Preacher was a consultant to the Lagos State Government as a Subject Matter Expert.
It is important to note that the number one responsibility of a school is not to teach but to protect. This is true because research has shown that any form of abuse to children is a huge threat to learning.
Therefore the number one threat to all the huge investment we make in the education of our precious children is abuse. If the foregoing is so, it therefore means that the protection of our precious children must be of mutual priority to both schools and parents…
Schools invest in what they consider important and inevitable to the well-being of the children under their care and that is highly commendable but alas, as important as Child Protection is,  it attracts little or no budget from schools.
While we make preparations and assign budgets for everything like renovations, school uniform, etc, our 20 years field experiences, working with schools of all grades and classes both at the private and public sectors reveal that most schools leave the most important  matter, which is child protection to total chance and blind hope…
The tide must change, thus I, The Preacher decided to share this brief intervention with you all this day.
You may inbox me on this platform if you believe we should take this discussion further either as parents or school leaders…
May God grant us all wisdoms to provide Protection for our precious children in accordance with the requirements of the day, knowing that Enlightenment is Superior to Enforcement… Enlightenment is the tested key to protection the through  prevention…Prevention is said to be better than cure. Why? The impact of any form of abuse on our precious children is eternal, except there is divine intervention.
I hereby request to wrap up this discussion here, having declared what I genuinely believe to be the eternal counsel of the mist high God, who gave us our precious children as gifts to humanity and gave us the Glorious Gospel according to IPROTECT to ensure their protection and preservation for the reason for which they are created.
Do have an INSPIRED week.
