During the incident, Debra Kanipe, a 63-year-old instructional aide, observed a 7-year-old student displaying signs of nausea after consuming food at the cafeteria. Kanipe promptly sought assistance from Sara Seymour, a 27-year-old special needs/life skills teacher, by requesting a napkin for the student. Shockingly, Seymour allegedly responded by suggesting that the child should consume his own vomit. This incident has resulted in severe repercussions for both individuals, as they face felony charges, subsequent termination from their positions at Brownsburg Elementary School and withdrawal of teaching license of one of the teachers for a period of 3 years.
