The enigmatic species called man is a difficult one to study. The more you look, the less you see. The heart and essence of this being are unfathomably deep. 🌊
📖 Keep in mind that this is a being on whom the Maker once issued a disclaimer (Genesis 6:6). If the manufacturer of a product once disclaimed it, who are we, the fellow products, not to deal with the same circumspectly, guided by the wisdom of being “under God”? 🤔
📖 The book that I read says in John 2:24: ‘But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men.’ Even an individual man who decides to take a study of himself/herself will not graduate in a lifetime. Depending on the manual he/she is using, the study may end in frustration, despondency, or in few cases, peace. 📚
📅 I have spent close to 6 decades in this world and embarked on a conscious study of myself since I was 27 years old or thereabouts. I am not sure I will graduate in a lifetime. How am I doing in class? I can’t even judge that. I leave that to God, before whom everything is naked and defenseless. All I do is to give my best under God, in class, and in the time of inevitable examinations. 🙏
Man at his best is still man. If there are 8 billion people in this world, as we are told, there are 8 billion flavors and uncountable expressions and experiences. 🌍
🙌 Where do I stand today? I have enjoyed the priceless blessings of relating with man; I have had the misfortune of betrayals in the hands of man from my cradle, bearing on my body and soul the indelible scars of these very nasty experiences. On the scale, I cannot really say which I have seen most, the blessings of relationships or the betrayals of interactions. But one thing I do is to do my best under God to cherish more the good times and take note from both as lessons for the journey. 🌱
🙏 I am not sure I am still in a place where I want to expect justice from man, no matter how close he/she is to me, or judge any man. I do not also judge myself. I leave all judgment to God, the only righteous God. 🕊️
🤔 Man!!! Hmmm!!! Man!!!
