This stern response follows the distressing incident involving the alleged defilement of a four-year-old pupil by the school’s security guard, David James, on April 27, 2023. The accused, a 23-year-old security guard, has been arraigned and remanded for the crime, appearing before Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi of Magistrate’s Court 1, Ogba, on a charge of sexual assault.

In response to the incident, the affected child’s parents appealed to the state government to hold the school accountable. Subsequently, a protest took place at the school gate, with concerned individuals, including friends, family members, and representatives from non-governmental organizations, demanding justice for the child and the immediate closure of the school.

Recent online images reveal that the Lagos State Ministry of Education has taken steps to seal the school as a response to the incident.
