From the Lead Revolutionary’s Trench

Thank you for joining us here again as we keep installing The TeacherFIRE™ Revolution. Our goal is very clear. We are committed to raising an active and vibrant generation of the-best-interest-of-the-child conscious teachers.

The month of August has been a very eventful month for the revolutionary crew. We kicked off the month with training the summer school volunteers at the Lagos Empowerment and Resource Network (L.E.A.R.N), a not-for-profit organisation set up by First Lady of Lagos State, Dame Abimbola Fashola. We trained over 200 volunteers at the 6(six) summer school centres in Lagos State. It was a rare opportunity to share The TeacherFIRE™ Revolution principles, among other things.

The Revolutionary crew was received at the Equity Hotel, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State by NAPTIP and UNICEF at a training program organised for private and public schools teachers in Ogun State. From Ogun State we proceeded to Meadowhall Consult EDUCAMP, where teachers and leaders in the school system assembled to be equipped for 3(days). We gave the keynote address and set a revolutionary tone for this year’s well-attended EDUCAMP.  Osimokun Temitope of Cradle Nursery School, Kaduna commented on the keynote address thus, ‘he succeeded in FIRING me up to do all that I later learnt from other facilitators. He laid a proper foundation by motivating me.’  Abinoma Debbie, Administrator and Head Teacher of Playlearn: The Learning Academy, Asaba evaluated the keynote address thus: ‘I don’t think I have any criticism. Keep up the good work and I would want you to come to Asaba to change our level of thinking.’

The crew was at Grange School, G.R.A. Ikeja Lagos to fully install The TeacherFIRE™ Revolution.  To one of the question on the Evaluation Form, how has the session benefited you? Oladeji Adetola Oladeji submitted, ‘tremendously. I have decided to go over the modules for the first time after a training.’  Onajobi Emmanuel Olumide also commented thus, ‘the session has benefitted me and had inspired me a lot. I am on FIRE for the job.’

The crew ended the month at Discovery House, Lekki where the teachers received the full dose of The TeacherFIRE Revolution. Adedipe Adenike commented, ‘I can really say I’ve been motivated and REFUELLED for the vision God has committed to me. There is a sharper and more distinct sense of direction.’  Nsikakabasi Barbara summated as follows, ‘the sessions have greatly inspired me to be a positive change catalyst in my generation.’

We are on the march again in month of September. Our goal is to reach all the teachers in Nigeria either by physical contact or exposure to our materials. Though, this may sound impossible, we are persuaded that with God all things are possible.

Our appeal to you today is to join us in becoming the ambassador of the Revolution. How do you become an ambassador? You make it a point of duty to mention The TeacherFIRE Revolution to institution of learning within your network.

Thank you and do have a most INSPIRED month and term.
