Subject Matter: The Trenches Panorama of the Week(151219-211219)

The Preacher is winding down the year and the holidays mood seems to be setting in but The Preacher works while it is day because night cometh when no man can work…

Dateline was Wednesday, December 18, The Preacher joined other colleagues, invited by Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) to meet with the Parmanent Secretary of Lagos State Teaching Service Commission to discuss the Child Protection components of the recruitment of 1,000 teachers into the public school system, in pursuant to the Lagos State Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy Executive Order of December 16, 2016. The Preacher was privileged to work on the policy and the implementation of same as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).

We had fruitful deliberations as Child Protection will be fully embedded into the entire processes including background checks, including their letter of employment carrying a Child Protection Clause and orientation and training for all the hired teachers…

It is a new dawn and it gives The Preacher great pleasure that matters that has to do with Securing A FRIENDLY and PROTECTIVE Environment™ for the precious African Child is coming to the FRONT BURNER of the conscience and consciousness of private and public institutions, particularly in Lagos State….

On Thursday, December 19, The Preacher was on Deepsoul with @stephen_omojuyigbe on @937Rhythmfm discussing the role of Parents in Securing A FRIENDLY and PROTECTIVE Environment™ for their precious children during holidays.

On Friday, December 20, 2019, The Preacher was at the sensitisation seminar for orphanages and other organisations, which provide institutional care for the precious children of Lagos State organised by SOS Children’s Village International and the Ministry of Youth and Social Development.

The Preacher was there as a member of the United Nations Alternative Care Guidelines Technical Working Committee for Lagos State.

The world is moving away from institutional care except as last resort and SOS Children’s Village International is leading that critical conversation in Nigeria.

Another great week of doing the Lord’s work and preaching the Glorious Gospel According to Securing A FRIENDLY and PROTECTIVE Environment™ for the precious African Children…

Compliments of the season and do have an INSPIRED day
