The role of parenting is designed to be played by 4 institutions. We call it FOUR-DIMENSIONAL PARENTING. So there are primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary parents, whose roles, which evolved from custom and culture are now governed by laws and policies in the develop world.

I made bold to say that except a child experiences the inputs of all of these four dimensions of parenting his/her sense of personal value and dignity and potentials for meaningful life are almost irredeemably endangered.  

Working with precious Nigerian children both from the lower and the upper crust of the society, I can sadly say, Nigeria is plagued. Our precious children are plagued by what I call, epidemic of moral and intellectual stunted growth.

It is a common epidemic in locations like Nigeria, where people underrate the inelastic potentials, divinely deposited inside a child enough to THINK, ADVOCATE and TEACH that the family as an Independent entity has what it takes to develop same into fullness of capacity to pursue personal peace and meaningful existence for the greater good in the best interest of humanity.
