We have had the privilege of working with the SOS Children’s Village Nigeria over the years on their family strengthening projects.

The projects centre on providing social services to strengthen the recipient families to play their primary roles in the lives of their precious children.

Our ongoing work with the SOS Children’s Village Nigeria, has helped me to answer the question to a very large extent, WHO RAISES THE CHILD?

The answer to this question is not as simple as the question is, particularly if we attempt to answer the question with the eye of tradition and the parenting practices we are used to in the Third World, particularly Africa.

There are four institutions that must raise the child. Raising the child here refers to nurturing into full-fledge fruition, every ounce of potentials God deposited in the child for his/her meaning and relevance in today’s world.

It is important to note that God determines our appointed time of creation and how to achieve meaning and relevance in accordance to the appointed time.

In answering this questions in practical terms and working with my team, we have answered the almighty question, WHO RAISES THE CHILD in the reality of the histocal development of human existence and interactions and contemporary and comparative analysis  of highly successful global practices.

The day of revealing these things that were before hidden and have kept us behind in our best efforts to give our precious children a hope and a future in a globalised world is Saturday, February 29, 2020.
