Opening Charge

Dear friends, sure you are doing well. I am glad to be with you on this page today. In fact I am inspired to be here today. If it is more blessed to give than to receive, then an attempt to give should ignite greatest passion in a man. I am here to give daily. Necessity is laid upon me. Woe unto me if I do not preach the gospel of inspiration.

I rounded up yesterday by welcoming you to a new generation. I promised to define a generation. Well, it is a new order of existence, a radical break away from an ancestral, professional or national norms and culture. A generation is deliberately created by an enlightened mind, tired of the norms and culture, which have held generations down from conforming to the image of God Almighty.

A generation is created when a man, leaning on the wisdom of God moves to a new level to celebrate the glory and the liberty God generously deposited in man, when He made him in His image and likeness. A generation is a platform to become a beacon of hope and a reference point of possibility. As far as I am concerned, the emergence of a new generation does not only answer to date and years, it also answers to decision to create a new order.

One lubricant in the quest to create a new generation is courage, inspired by my consciousness of the mercies and the grace of God. I find ample definition in the words of Peter J. Daniel as represented in his poem, Courage:

The gift of courage isn’t rare,
It’s just that it’s rarely tried.
To face the future, fear or foe,
You must not ever hide.
Life is full of doubts and dents,
And knock downs big and small.
But you, with courage as your friend,
Can rise like a bouncing ball.
Spring back and give your fears a fight,
Don’t take it lying down
Exhibit courage once again
And gain the winner’s crown
And as you feel your strength renewed
With vigour and with vim,
Take on a brand new fighting stance,
Erect and firm of chin.
‘Come on,’ you’ll say to all the world
‘Deliver me you worst;
I’m ready for whatever comes-
Now who will be the first!
‘I’m courage, that’s my given name
This day and ever more;
I’m here to fight until I win,
I will back down no more!’
So if you have pain that threatens you,
Or problems from within,
Great challenges or crisis points,
A bankroll that is thin.
It’s courage that’s the thing you need,
To help you through each day.
A tough and ever faithful friend,
To stay with you always.

The birth and sustainability of positive change is made real when the change pilgrim is conscious of the reality of his or her mind state or status. Attempting to know the status of your mind, which determines the status of your life, without a definite decision to search into the recess of the mind, which is hardly or even never visited in a lifetime, will amount to an exercise in frustrating futility.
