‘As we approach the weekend, you may thank God that it is Friday, but I urge you today, be excited that you will put a smile on the face of a child this weekend, beginning with your own children. Be excited that you will treat a child specially this weekend. Be excited that you will be the cause for a child’s smile this weekend. Above all be excited that a child will knee before God to give thanks because of your love to him or her this weekend.’

Hello dear friends, it is Friday and I am excited. Please note that I am not excited because it is Friday.

I am excited because of the opportunity that today provides for us to be of positive service to humanity.

I am excited because the world is a marketplace and sacrifices are its reward. I am excited because of the number of lives who God has used us to touch through our child’s rights campaign and The TeacherFIRE™ Revolution.

I am excited because gradually, we are bringing to the very front burner of private and public conscience and consciousness the rights and responsibilities of the African child for due respect in the best interest of the child.

I am excited that what began like a little flicker is becoming a big conflagration sweeping through our dear nation.

I am excited that we receive new divine thoughts, direction and wisdom from God on this mission on how to tackle the seemingly insurmountable issues of child abuse in this country.

I am excited that I am here today to share my excitement with you on this page.

The truth of the matter is that I live excited. How do I live excited in the midst of so much trouble? Well, it is because I am daily fuelled by the inspiration of God’s Spirit.  How can you be excited, when there are so many problems confronting the Nigerian Child?

Oh, I get your point, passion, excitement and enthusiasm are very critical to the advancement of any cause. We cannot afford to be weighted down by the state of affairs of our children, no matter how pathetic it may be.  Once we are weighed down, we lose the battle to the enemies of the souls of our dear children. We must therefore look at the situation in the face with excited and passionate indignation and generate moral strength to confront the situation that the African child faces today. We must confront it hard, with a strong view to seeing it tumbling down and those who profit from it exposed.

Friends, my admonition to you today is to get excited about life. Get excited about the commitment to give of yourself to the service to humanity. I know your needs are enormous, but do the unpopular, take your eyes off your own needs today and consider what you can do to lift others. Is it easy? No, I have not said so. It is because this quality is not easily found among men, that it carries a lot of rewards. Rarity is the definition of value.
