I, Taiwo Akinlami, call Heaven and the Earth,
My LORD and His Holy Angels,
To witness MY declaration today:
I seek by His Mercy and GRACE to be a WHOLLY MAN;
Not to DOUBT and PROFANE in the DARKEST HOURS of the DAY;
What I BOASTED to be a DIVINE REVELATION in the BRIGHTEST HOURS, even when it HURTS like an ankle out of joint;
Not to be UNSTABLE in the face of inevitable VICISSITUDES of LIFE,
UNFAITHFUL to meaningful RELATIONSHIPS, I DELIBERATELY STRUCK, Godly COVENANTS, I WILLINGLY SWORE to and DIVINE CAUSES, I FREELY CLAIM to REPRESENT;
Not to be TOSSED to and fro like a REED like every WIND of DOCTRINE,
Labouring under the OPPRESSION of IMMATUARITY.
Today, recognizing the place of HUMAN FOIBLES, I, Taiwo Akinlami, HUMBLE myself under the mighty Hands of GOD and seek to be nothing but a WHOLLY MAN:
To THINK WHOLLY,
To LOVE WHOLLY,
To SERVE WHOLLY,
To COMMIT WHOLLY,
To BEFRIEND WHOLLY,
To FORGIVE WHOLLY,
To GIVE WHOLLY,
To REJOICE WHOLLY,
To STAND WHOLLY,
To LIVE WHOLLY,
To WORSHIP WHOLLY;
That it may be written of me when I depart to see my MASTER and give an ACCOUNT of my STEWARDSHIP here: ‘Here lies the REMAINS of Taiwo Akinlami, who FOLLOWED the LORD WHOLLY.’ So help me LORD. Have an INSPIRED week.
