Child discipline and development cannot be delayed. To delay it is to set the child up for a life of sorrow and pain in the future. Maria Montessori has reliably informed us that 80% of the personality of the child is formed between ages 2-6.

The child is in a state of development. He must be cultivated. It is important to note that whatever discipline a child needs today must be discharged today. If we do not do it today according to the need of the child, we will not have the opportunity to do for him tomorrow. If we do it tomorrow it will not be discipline. It will be nothing but damage control. Since the end of damage control is not predictable, this becomes dangerous for the future of the child.

I do not believe that parents or custodians whose teenagers are wayward need training in parenting. I think they need training in damage control.

I advise strongly that all hands must be at work today to discipline the child and help him to form a positive value-oriented personality.
