I am a living and conscious soul, committed to social change. Therefore I deliberately, as a conscious responsibility observe my society, finding how to apply universal principles to the uniqueness of my society. I am interested in how universal principles are stepped down in view of the social, economic and political realities.

When the application of principles in a particular area of life does not consider the peculiarities of the people and their environment, it sets the people up for struggles and frustration.

I am not here to feed fat on the mystery of the people, dishing out cunningly devised fables, wrapped in the myopic toga of selfishness in the name of serving human capacity development contents in the area of parenting.

I am on the scene to call on the people of the Third World, particularly Africa to RETHINK PARENTING.

We just have to RETHINK PARENTING. As I wrote yesterday, I know it is not an easy task but it is a possible social venture.

Let me share with you some of the PARTICULARS OF RETHINKING PARENTING, which we will address on Saturday:

Can parenting in the Third World mean same thing as the First World or vice versa?

Is the family really first in all matters concerning raising balanced and excellent children?

Does the family as micro entity exist completely independent of the macro entity, known as the society?

Does the prosperity of the state has any impact on the prosperity of the family and quality of parenting?

Does any family as an independent entity have what it takes to bring out all of the divinely installed potentials historically and particularly the 21st Century?

What are the chances of raising orderly and discipline children in a disorderly nation?

What is the impact of a war-torn, failing or failed state on the quality of family life and by extension quality of parenting?

What is the impact of SOCIAL PROTECTION on PARENTING in the Third World and how do we address same in THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PERSON OF THE CHILD?

In parenting, what comes first: customs and culture or strategy?

These are many more will form the framework of our RETHINK PARENTING exercise on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
