‘The baby is the boss,’ is a popular saying around here and it is true.
At 12.36 AM EST, Monday, October 25, 2021, I was at 51 hired by a new boss. I first began to apply to be hired on the night of Saturday, November 25, 2006, after earning my certificate of marriage during the day. I was then placed on a preparation list.
I have now found out since I was hired and began my orientation barely 3 days ago that there is no amount of preparation outside his company that would have adequately prepared me for the dictates and demands of this unique boss.
My boss, though exists according to the objective reality of his world, does not compromise his subjective disposition to his affairs, by which he stamps his originality and authority.
My boss instructs more by conduct than by conversation. He believes more in you observing his patterns concerning his terms of reference in all things and being swift in your response. He does not believe in repeating himself and does not.
To my boss, what you consider little things by virtue of where you have been previously hired is very big for him. He expects you and everyone around him to pay attention and celebrate his big things. His first pee, his first poo, his first taste of breast milk, his first day, his first night, his first sleep, the removal of his foreskins. He loves it when his firsts are labelled. His first poo, he calls Meconium, the first breast milk he receives is called Colostrum; by his day 2 of becoming your boss, he orders you to set the table for ‘cluster feeding,’ which must happen as he wants it.
My boss is a man of very compelling presence. You dared not ignore him when he demands your attention. He hires for full-time, day and night. I think the wages he offers are highly competitive and he is not too keen to reveal his assessment of your stewardship at the time of your engagement. He waits till your retire.
My boss is curious, fearless, innocent and free. If you abide by his rules and regulations, he is very joyful and peaceful too.
Thank you boss for giving me the opportunity to serve. You are the best boss ever, though serving in your company can be challenging and sometimes unpredictable.
Thank you for considering my application for engagement after 15 whooping years of application and preparation. I am enjoying the orientation period and the firmness with which you handle it.
