Decode You Identity (5)

Opening Charge

‘I hope you know that all of us are products of our childhood. All that we manifest today was installed into us by our parents/guardians, teachers and other stakeholders, who by the fact of nature and sometimes by the negligent commission or omission of our primary custodians (parents/guardians) had unfettered and unfiltered access to our spirits, souls and bodies.’

Hello dear friends. I am excited to be with you this morning. For me it is a duty to be here, though a duty I am passionate and compassionate about. It is a duty for which I was born. It is a duty for which I live and a duty for which I am prepared to die, if need be. What is this duty? It is a commitment to a sweeping revolution in the school system through the TeacherFIRE™ Programs.

Yesterday, I began to discuss one of the six principles; you must know, understand and practice consciously if you must operate the passwords of decoding your identity, I shared with you last week. I shared with you that you must accept and love yourself that you are and know. I concluded with a promise to share with you some personal stories along this line.

I beseech you by the mercies of God that you permit me to lay a brief premise for my story or stories.  The truth of the matter is that if you do not accept and love yourself as you are, you will never have a vision of yourself that you should become, not to talk of becoming that person. If you do not enjoy yourself that you are, you will never have enough fuel of joy to take you into your future.

I came from an abusive background, where I was not taught to accept myself. I was not also taught to love myself. I was not taught to affirm myself or assert myself. Please note that when you come from this kind of background, it will be a very difficult task to accept yourself. Why? Simple. You were denied the five basic needs of every child.

Once you are denied of these five basic needs, your chance of growing up to become normal, accept yourself and love yourself becomes very narrow, except by divine intervention. Even with divine intervention, you must be ready to carry your cross and walk under strict discipline and commitment to change. As Joyce Meyer has put it, the deeper the level of your childhood abuse, the deeper the healing process through the word of God and the deeper your commitment your commitment to healing must be.

I hope you know that all of us are products of our childhood. All that we manifest today was installed into us by our parents/guardians, teachers and other stakeholders, who by the fact of nature and sometimes by the negligent commission or omission of our primary custodians (parents/guardians) had unfettered and unfiltered access to our spirits, souls and bodies.

What are these five basic needs? Every child needs someone to believe, a role model; every child needs something to believe, values; every child needs somewhere to belong, first a family and then a community, installation of a sense of commitment to family and society; every child needs something to become, an affirmation of his human ingenuity; every child needs his freedom and sense of responsibility affirmed.  Once these needs are not met in childhood, the person being released to society is a dysfunctional adult, who may not be aware of his or her existence, not to talk of accepting or loving same.

Can you imagine? Our premise has taken the whole day. How time flies or should I say how space flies. Well, we thank God that tomorrow is another day. I will tell one of my stories and I will conclude on this particular principle.

POINT 2 PONDER:

If you do not enjoy yourself that you are, you will never have enough fuel of joy to take you into your future.

Have an INSPIRED Day.
