This is the day in which things are going to happen very fast for you as you make every effort to do all things in the best interest of the children under your care as a faithful custodian. God is not unrighteous to forget our labour of love over our children. I urge you to keep sowing the seed as you wait for God to bring the increase. Please be persuaded that your reward is coming, if you faint not, even under the most discouraging circumstances. Before I get into my discussion with today I will like to announce that as from early next week, I will begin to share 12 Attributes of a Child-Friendly Workplace. I think this is a topic every custodian in the life of the child must be interested in. Expect the series. It is a research work. It promises to be explosive.

Today, I share with you the 13th fact you must consider before you register your child in a school: If you are moving to child from one school to another please ensure continuity of values. Do not register your child in a school because its proximity to your house or office.  There are many reasons why we may have to change the schools of our children. we may want to move them from nursery school to primary and from primary to secondary school. We may change school as a result of change of residence and change of work or transfer from one location to the other.

It is our responsibility that when we move our children school, we must ensure compatibility of values between the school we are moving our children to and the one we are moving them from, particularly if we agree with the values, which the old school represents. Please also note that you may also move your child out of a school if you discover that they do not represent the values they claim to represent or you find that you register your child there in the days of ignorance.

The training of children must be consistent in all fronts: home, school, religious setting and associates. The school must have the capacity to reinforce the values, which the home represents. The religious setting must reinforce the values, which the home and the school represent. Our associates (friends and acquaintances) we expose our children to must be people, who share same values with us.

To ensure consistency in the training of a child, we must be interested in doing due diligence when we have to transfer our children from one school to the other.  I urge you friends, Think the Child, Think Today, Think the Future. Have an INSPIRED day.
